Three Challenges to Dealing With Overly Needy People:

1) You Need to meet people's NEEDS and not their WANTS.

I Corinthians 6:12; Acts 3:6-7

*Jesus CARED MORE than anyone who has ever lived.

*Jesus did not HEAL EVERYONE in need or grant every request.

 

A) You ust IDENTIFY What is A Real Need.

B) You must PAY ATTENTION To A Person's Actions And Not Their Words

 

2) You Need To Set HEALTHY BOUNDARIES For Your Sake and Their Sake

Romans 14:12-13; Mark 1:35-37

A) Set TIME Boundaries

B) Set EXPECTATION Boundaries

 

3) You Need To ALLOW People To Face Their CONSEQUENCES

John 8:31-32; Galatians 6:7-8; Luke 15:12-32; Luke 5:31; Revelation 22:14

A) RESCUING is not always HELPFUL.

B) Let Jesus BE YOUR SAVIOR and not you.
