WHEN YOU HAVE A RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD, THE FIRST THING THAT CHANGES IS YOU!

EZEKIEL 36:26-27

²⁶ I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. ²⁷ And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws.

· GOD WANTS TO CHANGE YOU, AND GOD WANTS TO MAKE YOU NEW!

II CORINTHIANS 5:17

¹⁷ Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!

· LESS MEANS MORE, BUT IS MORE ALWAYS BETTER?

ECCLESIASTES 4:6

Better one handful with tranquility than two handfuls with toil and chasing after the wind.

CHANGE MEANS TO LIVE A LIFE WHERE LESS IS MORE?

I) CHANGE MEANS YOU SEEK TO CUT BACK.

LUKE 12:13-15

¹³ Someone in the crowd said to him, “Teacher, tell my brother to divide the inheritance with me.”

¹⁴ Jesus replied, “Man, who appointed me a judge or an arbiter between you?” ¹⁵ Then he said to them, “Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; life does not consist in an abundance of possessions.”

· THE MOST MEANINGFUL THING AT THE END OF YOUR LIFE WILL NEVER BE STUFF.

II) CHANGE MEANS YOU LOOK TO CLEAN OUT.

· THE ESSENTIALS WE NEED IN OUR EVERYDAY LIFE ARE VERY FEW ITEMS. EVERYTHING ELSE IS JUST EXTRA AND UNNECESSARY.

PROVERBS 15:16

Better a little with the fear of the Lord than great wealth with turmoil.

III) CHANGE MEANS YOU WORK TO PAY OFF.

· WHAT COULD YOU CHANGE IN YOUR LIFE IF YOU WERE NOT SHACKLED BY DEBIT?

PROVERBS 22:7

The rich rule over the poor, and the borrower is slave to the lender.

CONCLUSION: YOUR LIFE IS TOO VALUABLE, TOO GREAT, YOUR GOD IS TOO GOOD TO WASTE YOUR LIFE ON MEANINGLESS THINGS.

EPHESIANS 5:15-17

¹⁵ Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, ¹⁶ making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. ¹⁷ Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is.
